Terms and Conditions

Applications and references (where applicable) to the National Apprenticeship Awards are subject to the following terms and conditions of entry. Please read these carefully and indicate your approval at the bottom of the page before proceeding to the application form.
  • Employees of The Skills Funding Agency, their family members, any person connected in any way with the National Apprenticeship Awards shall not be permitted to enter.
  • The organisers cannot accept any responsibility for loss or damage of any entry. All entry forms will be acknowledged.
  • All entries will be treated in the strictest confidence.
  • The judges’ decisions will be final and no correspondence or discussion will be entered into regarding the selection of the winners.
  • Unless otherwise stated on this form, any personal data supplied will be retained securely by the Skills Funding Agency only for as long as necessary for the purposes of the Skills Funding Agency activity and then securely deleted.
  • Entry details will only be used for the purpose of communicating about Skills Funding Agency products. The information provided is protected and secure in compliance with the Data Protection Act 1988.
  • By submitting your application you grant the Skills Funding Agency permission to share your personal data and application information with the official sponsors of the National Apprenticeships Awards. Your information will not be shared with any other organisation.
  • Employers selected will have their name published in a Top 100 Apprenticeship Employer list.
  • The National Apprenticeship Awards are limited to England. Submissions from Scotland, Northern Ireland, Wales, the Isle of Man and the Channel Islands are not eligible unless the Apprenticeship has taken place in England.
  • Entries and references (where applicable) will only be accepted when submitted via the online entry form.
  • Entries and references (where applicable) can be submitted no later than 5.00pm, Friday 28 March 2014.
  • Entries and references (where applicable) cannot be amended after the entry deadline has passed.
  • Applications from finalists who were recognised at the National Apprenticeship Awards in 2012 and/or 2013 (awarded as a winner or highly commended) must show sufficient progress to merit being recognised for a new Apprenticeship Award.
  • By submitting an entry, all finalists and winners are agreeing to participate in publicity concerning the Skills Funding Agency funded Apprenticeships.
  • Should the judges determine an entry submitted for one category is of greater relevance to another category, they may re-categorise that entry.
  • Regional winners will automatically be shortlisted for the national stage. This shortlist will undergo a second tier of judging process where the national stage finalists will be selected.
  • Entries and references (where applicable) may be edited by the National Apprenticeship Awards team to correct any erroneous administrative information.
  • All entries and references (where applicable) will be vetted and verified for accuracy. Should it come to light that there are issues, whether ethical or factual, pertaining to any application, the National Apprenticeship Awards team reserve the right to withdraw that application, whether that application has been selected as a finalist or not.
  • All entries and references (where applicable) will be read by assessors.
  • Detailed feedback can only be provided for applications that reach the Regional and National stages, if available.
  • The Skills Funding Agency reserves the right to cancel or amend the National Apprenticeship Awards and these terms and conditions without notice for any event that is outside of the Skills Funding Agency’s reasonable control. It is the responsibility of entrants to keep themselves informed as to any changes to the terms and conditions of entry.
